"A very good value budget hotel, close to the centre."
"The Hotel Edelweiss is conveniently situated in a quiet side street near to the railway station and handy for the vaporetto. At the end of the street we found a lively snack bar the staff of which immediately made our acquaintance. The rooms were of good size, plainly furnished, cool and quiet at night, ours faced the street and had a bacony, the only noise being entirely welcome and heard in the early morning - discordant bells from nearby churches and the shouts of delivery calls. Breakfast is an enjoyable experience with various sorts of croissants and cheese available, also cereals and coffee. The other guests are a mixture of Italians of a certain age and younger Europeans, with some small children also. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast staff were efficient and cheerful. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Edelweiss and definitely plan to visit it again when we are next in Venice."

Al Giardino Bed&Breakfast in Venice Al Giardino Bed&Breakfast is a three stars B&B 15 minutes from the historic centre of Venice, 15 minutes from the center of Mestre, 10 minutes from the airport and the casinò, 20 minutes from the central railway station.
The city of Venice can be divided into three separate parts: the historic center on the lagoon, the islands and the mainland districts. In one of these districts, called Favaro Veneto, is the B&B Al Giardino. Its location, so close to the historic centre of Venice, will allow you to enjoy all the wonders displayed by the old city without sustaining its inconveniences and expenses: actually, you can’t drive within the historic centre, you can only walk or travel by boat. From the B&B you can use the bus service (buses run at 5 minutes intervals) to the different destinations: the historic centre, the islands, Mestre or the other towns of the Venetian mainland.
Al Giardino B&B has a car parking service.
In the warm season you are welcome to lounge in the oper air under the trees of the garden.
As a rule the B&B expects you to be in between 6 and 8 p.m.: if you need to arrange for a different time, let them know beforehand.
All rooms have en-suite bathroom and TV.
A summary of typical guests' reviews:
"This is a 3 BD room B&B that I will really recomend to visit Venice. It is very close to the city, ( 5 meters away you can catch the bus to downtown) It is really clean, very friendly people, small but beautiful rooms, and there is a graeat restaurant by the bus stop ! The breakfast is very good."
"THis really is a perfect place to visit Venice. There is an excellent bus connection with the city, cheap (especially for Venice), clean, a very extensive and tasteful breakfast. I would recommend it to everybody."
"We had a great time in 'Al Giardino' and felt very welcomed."
"We were very pleased with our stay. One of the advantages of staying so far out is that one always gets a seat on the bus into Venice (why are there so few seats on Italian buses??)"
"Fantastic value accommodation. Only 15mins by bus to centre of Venice, but costs half the price of hotels in the centre. Very clean basic accommodation. Would highly recommend."
"Very well connected by bus. The room is very spacious and new and the breakfast was the best I have in all my journey."
"Overall a very pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable and well decorated. It was good value for money and i would not hesitate to stay there again."
"The accomodations were modern and on a beautiful property."
"The hotel was perfectly nice and clean and the value for money was good."

Villa Beatrice Hotel in Venice Villa Beatrice Hotel is immersed in a splendid Italian-style garden, between the Venetian lagoon and the Adriatic Sea, in Venice Lido, 30 minutes from St. Mark's Square.
The completely restored building and its garden provide the perfect setting for a relaxing, out of doors, open air vacation, from the cool, refreshing vegetation of spring to the glorious colors of mid-autumn.
All rooms have en-suite bathroom, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar, hairdryer, internet connection, ceiling fans, and a choice between a terrace and a private garden.
A summary of typical guests' reviews:
"This is my second trip to Venice and both times I have chosen to stay on the Lido. The Villa Beatrice is several miles from the Santa Maria Elizabetta vaporetto station, but it's charm and quite make this out of the way destination worth the trip."
"I was enchanted with Villa Beatrice and Beatrice herself. The stay was wonderful and by Venice's standards very well priced. This is at the farest end of Lido, so when another reviewer said it was off the beaten path, they were quite correct. Had we not driven on Lido, it might have been a bit far. I did not experience the busses on Lido itself, but the ferry service from Lido to Venice Proper as well as all the Venetian islands is excellent. If I return to Venice in the future, I have no doubt that this is where I will stay."
"Would have preferred a clearer map of the hotel location as we arrived late at night - but taxi driver knew exactly where it was - I liked being off Venice saw we could approach by boat."
"Villa Beatrice was very clean and comfortable and the price was good. My room was next to the reception area, so I was woken up about midnight by people talking. I'm sure there wouldn't be the same problem with the other rooms. It is a long way out - from the Lido a bus is required to Alberoni, which is basically at the end of a spit of land. There is a mediocre beach and apparently a golf course but there are no good restaurants or shops nearby. Although it was well priced at 70 Euros, there are costs in relation to time and money in getting to Villa Beatrice."

General price range per room
Single & double rooms: 70 - 100 euros

San Salvador Hotel in Venice San Salvador Hotel is in a delightful little street, or calle, of the ancient quarter of San Marco, extremely close to Rialto Bridge, near Piazza San Marco.
Public boats stops are nearby.
It has its own garden, a lovely terrace, air conditioning, central heating.
All rooms have en-suite bathroom, TV, fridge bar, and are attractively furnished.
A summary of typical guests' reviews:
"This is a very good hotel. The rooms are small but clean and well furnished. The staff is professional and friendly. They speak english very well and went out of their way to help me with my needs on several occasions. They made my stay in Venice that much more enjoyable. The price I paid was a bargain for the excellent service and accommodations. I would absolutely stay there again and I highly recommend it to all except handicapped. There is a flight of stairs with no elevator."
"Took some finding but once we did we were plesently surprised. Adsolutely in the thick of it and exactly what you would expect in Venice in fact we stayed an extra night. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast on the terrace is a treat a place to really absorb the wonderful atmosphere of this beautiful and exiting place. We were so happy we did not want to leave."
"If you know Venice you would not expect any larger room for the price quoted. We thought the room exceptionally clean. Despite being situated above a separate restaurant business, we suffered no noise intrusion. If you intend to spend time in your hotel room, this is not for you. We used it merely as a base and somewhere to sleep. It is not for those who have difficulty with stairs, being situated one floor above street level and no lift available. The owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating, spending time obtaining travel details for me from the internet. Despite its situation in a dark alley, one need have no trepidation about walking the streets in Venice at any hour of the night - this is not London. This hotel is extremely well situated for the vaporetto and walking and being very close to a major attraction (Rialto) is very easy to find. I would certainly stay again."

Single & double rooms: 100 - 120 euros

It's set in its own lovely garden, and offers comfortable rooms with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV.
The hotel reception is open 24 hours a day to meet client needs and requests.
A summary of typical guests' reviews:
"It would have been nice for breakfast to start at 7:30 am instead of 8:00 am - otherwise it was a really nice place and an enjoyable stay."
"The hotel was very good, and in a very convenient but quiet area. The staff were obliging and helpful, and the room spacious. Occasionally there was a long wait for hot water in the shower, and the satellite tv was a bizarre and small selection! But who goes to Venice to watch tv? Overall a very good hotel, and good value for its class."
"The Messner is good for visiting La Salute and Il Redentore."
