Some typical guests' reviews:
"I love the staff so much. They are helpful, friendly and kind. We've only stayed one night, and leave the luggages for 3 days, no problem, they've taken care of them. When we back to get the luggages to the airport, they called a taxi for us spontaneously. The location is good as well, just few mins walk to Republic metro station. On the way, there are some nice resturants and shops. However, dont expect a luxury room. 67euro per night at the heart of Paris, what do you want ??"
"We had a first class welcome from every member of staff and found the hotel to be typically Parisian which is just what we wanted. We have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to friends and would use your site to book again."

"If somebody is going to visit Paris, this Hotel is the best Idea, only 200 meters from Metro, with nice little rooms with very good bathroom and for this price the best who can get. The croissonts at breakfast have been delicious."
"My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Paris and stayed at the Hotel Sevres Montparnasse the entire time. The room rate off of Venere was incredible and so was the location of the hotel. Two Metro stations (Pasteur and Falgiere) were steps from the hotel, there is a self-service laundry right next door, two or three neighborhood grocery stores are just down the way and a fabulous bakery, Artisan Boulanger, is just a couple of blocks down the road. The Tour Montparnasse and a great shopping area are only a 5-10 minute walk away and the Palais du Luxembourg is also within that range. I would highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay there again. The morning breakfast at the hotel was excellent and cost 7 Euros per person. A good price for what you get and very convenient."
"Small but lovely hotel quite well located and very close to two different metro stations. Comfort, good price, good service and good breakfast. It was our first time at Paris and whenever we go back we will stay at the same hotel."
"Good relationship between price and quality. An excelent option if you don't want to spend a lot of money."
"Nice, cheap hotel near the Montparnasse-train station. Quite a lot of restaurants and bars in the surrounding. Close to the Metro-station Falguiere."
"Very nice location and the staff is very qualified and gentle. This hotel is the best choice for a very little price."
"Great value. Not fancy, but clean and friendly and only a 20-25 minute walk for all the attractions."

Some typical guests' reviews:
"Room and bath are clean. Located in very good area near MRT station."
"Very friendly and helpful staffs."
"Tiny hotel in between two metro stations, everything is easily accessible, even if you planned to walk. My room was at the top and had a small balcony with nice view to Paris. Although I did not spend much time in the room, I was highly satisfied with the hotel. The price was fair, I got what I wanted. Looking forward to staying there again."
"Never having been to Paris before, I was apprehensive about where I was going to end up in the city. I found that many of the Tour routes as well as all the transit stops were very close to the hotel. Local eating and shopping establishments were in abundance also."
"The location for this hotel was great. It was really easy to get from the airport using the RER and then transfering to the Metro stop Republic where the hotel is only a few block from. You can also connect to 5 other Metro lines from that Metro stop. Breakfast was not included but that was okay as there is a Supermache and a very nice bakery where you could get various rolls and or something to take with you for lunch. The people on the desk were very nice, my room had a little terrace and there was a lift so that was good. I felt very safe alone in this area."
"Good price and quality relation."
"The owner (a Chinese lady that speaks good French and English) greeted us and was very welcoming. It is actually near the Jacques Bonsargent metro stop. We walked down the St. Germain from the Gare de la Est, went into the street where the hotel was and walked about 4 blocks East, almost until the street met the Boulevard Magenta. The breakfast (an additional 10 Euros for 2) were fine. The reception was accommodating and helpful with directions and advice."
"The charming and helpful staff give great value to this modestly priced hotel just off Place de la Republique. The neighborhood also boasts some moderately priced restaurants with good food. The neighborhood is quiet and an added bonus is that it is but a short stroll from the Canal Saint Martin."
"This hotel was great. If you can stay on the 5th floor, some rooms have private balconies."
"I like this somewhat old-fashioned hotel very much. Employees are fluent in English and very familiar. Extremely close to the big tube station. Internet shop within 30 second walk. Breakfast is a typical French one, that is, Coffee with milk, orange juice and breads. I would stay here again."
"I must start be saying that we weren't looking for luxury accomodation, just somewhere to get our heads down at night, and that's what we got. The location was excellent for seeing Paris, 2 minutes walk to the Metro and 2 minutes walk from Place de Republique which has plenty of restaurants."

Some typical guests' reviews:
"We very much enjoyed our stay. Information on the internet related entirely to the actual! A nice pleasant hotel, in an ideal location for seeing the sights of Paris."
"Excellent, friendly service in a great location. Very good price for a single in such a good part of Paris. Highly recommend it."
"The location is great. You couldn't ask for more. It's only two blocks away from the tuileries metro stop. The room was very spacious but the floor was uneven, it kinda went downhill from one side to another. It really didn't feel bad, but at the first moment it felt strange. We stayed in a triple room and the bathroom was enourmous with a western style shower and a european style bathtub. There was some noise with the water pipes when you wanted hot water in the sink, but it could be avoided by opening it just a little or a lot (funny). At the reception they could speak english and spanish and it was a lot of help. We had a pleasant stay and it was a good relationship between price and quality."
"We were very satisfied indeed. Very pleasant hotel in a handy location. Staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Definitely to be recommended. Thanks!"
"Excellent location, helpful staff. The room was a bit snug but the bathroom was large."
"Very old hotel with lots of character and charm in a very charming central part of Paris. Staff and management were very helpful and accomodating and assisted us with a very early check in. Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of it. All in all we had a very pleasant 3 days there and would not hesitate staying there again if our budget required it."
"Good hotel, quite cheap for the 1 st arrodissement and very close to the metro (tulieries) and Place Vendome, in the heart of Paris."
"Nice Hotel, small rooms, but GREAT LOCATION (300 m to Louvre, 300 m to opera, 200 m to supermarket) - you can walk to 50% of the sightseen locations withing 2 km."
"Nice cozy hotel on an excellent location, good price/quality relation."
"The location is very nice and the price is not too high; rooms are very cosy, not very big but enough! There was virtually no wiew out of the window but this is a minor problem! The correspondace between what is on internet and the hotel is very good! Service offered is good as well, the employees are nice. I would suggest to everybody to go at this hotel whenever they are in Paris!."

Hotel Mary's in Paris Mary's Hotel is a budget hotel near the Cemetery of the Father Lachaise, extremely close to Gambetta metro station, 5 minutes from the Porte de Bagnolet and 20 minutes from Roissy Airport.
Rooms have hairdryer, satellite television, telephone, double glazing, phone alarm clock.
Some typical guests' reviews:
"The room was small but for the price we paid, it was excellent. The staff were friendly and although they didn't speak English fluently we didn't have much trouble. They even let us leave our bags there on the day we checked out."
"Superb value for money, if you don't mind being a little out of the city centre - however, it is very close to the Metro (Gambetta). Surrounding area is lovely and calmer than the centre, a nice contrast at the end of the day. Room was fine, but had to pay daily every morning which was a hassle as our credit cards did not work. The staff were helpful (& flexible) though, so no problem. Also, make sure that your towels are on the bathroom floor if used, or they may not get changed. Minor points though, it was a great place to stay on a lower budget."
"wow! So cheap, but not so bad!"
"We are a german couple and we wanted to visit Paris primarily and overnight secondarily. So our expectation was not too high and with humour we climbed up the narrow stairs. Hups - no cupboard, but why not? We slept 3 nights there and we had calmness and peace. We didn't search for shortcomings and we didn't find them. When we needed a corkscrew, we got one from the staff. Thats ok. The quick connection to the city was the most important advantage. The only thing we wondered was the fact that we had to pay in advance. The next time in Paris we will spend in Mary's hotel again, with the red neon light over the entrance."

Single, double & triple rooms: 30 - 60 euros

Hotel Au Royal-Cardinal in Paris Au Royal-Cardinal Hotel is a budget hotel in the heart of the Latin Quarter, near Notre-Dame, la Sorbonne, le Pantheon, the river Seine, Saint-Germain Boulevard, Saint-Louis Island, on the famed Left Bank or Rive Gauche.
All rooms have en-suite bathroom, direct dial telephone, colour TV, hairdryer, individual safety deposit box, soundproofed windows.
Some typical guests' reviews:
"This was our sixth time in Paris and the first time we have stayed at a 2 star hotel (always 3 or 4 stars) Loved the location. Had a room with balcony which we enjoyed very much. The staff was very nice. There are two corner cafe's, a bakery/tea room and neighborhood grocery all in the same block. Several bus lines and a metro a short block away. We are looking forward to our next visit to Paris and will definitely stay here again."
"We had a fantastic stay at the Au Royal-Cardinal. The staff was very friendly and, even with our poor French, able to help us anytime we needed. The hotel is very convenient to most of the attractions, yet far enough away to be quiet at night. The room was exactly as advertised. Great Place!"
"To give us more money to spend on seeing, eating out and a bit of Christmas shopping in Paris, we chose the Cardinal from this site as a reasonably priced but good 2*, and it was. The hotel is clean, friendly and with a fantastic location. We loved Paris and the people."
"The hotel was in a very good part of town, ten minutes walking distance from Notre Dame, including 2 subway stations right in the area. There were also many bars and restaurants in the Latin Quarter within walking distance."
"The hotel was all it promised to be, very reasonably priced with friendly helpful staff. The location was superb for access into the latin quarter and close to the Metro. Breakfast was only available in our room, which suited us fine. Will definitely be considering staying here again on our next trip to Paris."
"Two steps from everywhere but far from noisy, crowded streets."
"We were extremely pleased with our stay at this hotel. It's walking distance to any attractions in the Notre Dame area and it is 1/2 block from the subway. If you require a hotel with restaurants and lounges, this is not it. But, if you need basic hotel services in a clean, warm atmosphere with a great location, this is the place! The people who own the bistro adjacent to the hotel are very nice as well so it's almost as though you have a restaurant/bar in the hotel. We ended every night there planning what we would do the following day."
"Hotel room was really nice (large balconies on 5th floor!), greeat location, near to everything on left bank. Over all would recommend this hotel to anyone, it really should be a 3 star, rather than its 2 star rating. Only gripe was soundproofing between rooms, but you're not in the room that much,it is Paris after all!!"
"Good localization, near to two Metro stations and from the heart of Quartier Latin with very exciting night life. I really appreciated the stay. The girls from the desk are always ready to help or give you any information you need."
"The Royal Cardinal Hotel in the Latin Quarter in Paris was exactly as described - so there were no surprises. The rooms are small by north american standards, but are a good size for Paris. The bathrooms are designed so that we shower-loving folks can actually have a stand-up shower without flooding the entire bathroom! The street noise is loud, but the sound-proof windows completely eliminate it when closed. The staff all speak a very good English. Location of this hotel is fabulous. Many of the major attractions are within walking distance and those that are not are an easy metro ride away - don't shy away from the Paris metro - it is very easy to find your way around, and very safe. The price for this hotel represents good value. This was our third visit to Paris, and this hotel surpassed the other two we stayed at in our previous visits As we don't like the 'log' pillows that seem so popular in hotel rooms in France, we asked for regular pillows and they were immediately provided. If you have a room with a balcony enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the Paris skyline."

Single, double, twin, triple & quadruple rooms: 60 - 130 euros

"I only stayed in this hotel for one night. It was a cheap price, but I thought everything was in order at the hotel, very clean, nice/friendly staff.
