Some typical guests' reviews:
"We loved the location most of all - just close enough to the city center and far enough to be "away from it all." The room was very well supplied and enormous. The hotel staff were especially helpful and friendly. Of course, we hope to return very soon."
"It's only 15 minutes' walk to Ponte Vecchio, and the walk prepares you to the Florentine atmosphere. The swimming pool was a great added bonus. The car parking in the park is very useful. The fireplace in the lounge is really something."
"One of the best hotels I've ever stayed."
"This place is simply fantastic. Very quiet location, with good parking, and bus stop at the door. The walk down to the center of town is long but very nice; one can discover places like Galileo's house on the way. The swimming pool was a definite plus for the children (and adults too..). Definitely worth staying!"
"Superb villa, beautiful swimming pool, if you go to Florence this is the ideal hotel to take a rest after sightseeing in Florence."
"The room was huge, with a nice balcony and effective airconditioning and a fridge. Pool was pleasant."
"The walk to the Duomo area was beautiful."
"The Park Palace Hotel was a refreshing break from the hectic pace of central Florence. The hotel gave you the feeling of staying at an old villa from years past. A good breakfast, a very spacious room with a nice view, and convenient location (except for nearby restaurants). Overall, it was an excellent value!"
"Hotel positioned overlooking Florence with wonderful views of the city & surrounding countryside....welcome pleasant and cleanliness of the hotel good..."
"Wonderful hotel with car parking, on a hill above Florence, at 20 minutes' walk downhill to town centre. Well served by bus services too. Good and spacious rooms, good breakfast."
"Beautiful hotel and surrondings. Very quiet."
"This is a beautiful small hotel. Easy access to areas by bus. Beautiful quiet neighborhood."
"Very pleasant place to stay in a lovely quiet part of Florence out of the city centre."
"We were traveling with a group of 7, our family of 4 with grand parents and a neice. The Park Palace was excellent for room size, we had joining triple and quad rooms. It was like a private apartment and veryone enjoyed the space! The hotel is located up on a hill outside of town. Our room had a private terrace and there were fabulous sunrises/set... The common area was a lovely room with large fireplace that we enjoyed meeting others and playing cards. To access the hotel, we used a bus that comes every 30 minutes. The bus can be a bit early or late, so you need to be ready."
"Really nothing to complain about ! A fantastic bargain for Florence !"
"In a romantic location, not quite in the centre, but it only takes few minutes to walk to Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is a truly beautiful villa with rooms with antique furnishings. Breakfast and services are of good quality. Excellent ratio quality price, at the price offered on Venere."
"Quite high class structure."
"The Park Palace is a real find. Huge, very comfortable, clean rooms, Helpful & friendly service, Excellent breakfast which we took on the terrace overlooking the garden and the pool. This was also a nice cool place to relax over a sundowner after a long day's sightseeing, whilst planning the next day. The Ponte Vecchio is about 20 mins walk from the hotel or you can easily get the number 13 bus to Santa Maria Novella. A Taxi back to the Hotel at night costs around 10 Euros. Overall, real character excellent value and highly recommended."
"We are really pleased with Hotel Park Palace. Our room even has a stairs that go up to the roof top and we could see Florence from there. It's a really nice hotel with GREAT breakfast. It's the best hotel I've stayed in my 10 days Italy trip. The location is a bit out of the way, but it's worth it."
"This is a great hotel. We took advantage of an internet special which made it cheaper than a 2 star hotel we stayed at earlier. It is a mile from the duomo but it is a beautiful walk. Our room was big and very clean and after all that walking we did the bathtub felt great. The breakfast was great. The staff speak great english and were very helpful."
"We could see the night view of Florence from Piazzale Michelangeo."
"If you travel by car,I strongly recomend you to stay at this hotel.Very convenient and very very good room and good breakfast."
"Unfortunately, only stayed one night but found great atmosphere & character with staff who are extremely friendly & helpful."

Florence is a city of wonders. This is the place where the extraordinary revival of classical art, architecture, literature and learning known as the Renaissance began in the 14th century. Florence has some of the world’s most beautiful buildings and magnificent works of art.
The ornate palazzos lining its narrow streets are proof of the extraordinary wealth of that period. One of these splendid buildings is Palazzo Gaddi, the aristocratic home of the Astorias, which is now a Boscolo First Class Hotel. The completely and marvellously restored, monumental, sumptuous Astoria Hotel is an authentic gem of Florentine Baroque, filled with stunning frescos, beautiful antiques and only the finest furnishings and accessories.
At the renowned Palazzo Gaddi restaurant, which is one of the most exclusive meeting places in Florence, and the elegant Arrighetti Lounge Bar of the Astoria, you can savor the glorious food and wine of Tuscany, the finest flavors and aromas in a palatial setting of opulence and luxury. In the summertime, after admiring the Tuscan sunset, what better way to end the day than a candlelight dinner in the restaurant garden?
In the Hotel Astoria, one of the most distinguished addresses in Florence, the charm of the past blends with modern luxury.
Guests at the Astoria can choose between the serenity of the large lobby or the relaxing atmosphere of the Piano Bar.
The Conference Center in the Astoria is a splendid stage for meetings and events, with state-of-the-art technology, efficient service and sumptuous, opulent décor. Its 5 rooms, for 30 to 150 persons, are decorated with magnificent Renaissance frescos. It has state-of-the-art equipment, from simultaneous translation to video conference facilities. Work lunches, buffets and sumptuous gala dinners can all be organised in the same rooms, made even more entertaining by the addition of typical attractions such as flag-wavers and musicians in traditional Florentine costume.

Some typical guests' reviews:
"The hotel is extremely well located within a short walk of the station and the main tourist attractions. The bedrooms are spacious and provide a nice view over the city. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly and would definitely recommend the hotel to those who want to stay somewhere which is very comfortable but also has a bit of character."
"Very nice place to stay. We were very pleased."
"The hotel was one of the best hotels that I spent at my latest trip in Europe."
"An outstanding hotel with high quality facilities and service."
"The location of the Hotel was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We booked two rooms trough Venere, the two rooms were great with nice views of the city."
"We have stayed in Florence on a number of occasions whilst attending trade shows and generally the rooms and public areas in the hotels are very small, even when they are 4 star. The Boscola Astoria has very spacious public areas, an excellent restaurant and an extremely pleasant roof bar in the evenings. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and any request we made was dealt with efficiently and in a very friendly manner."
