Park Palace Hotel in Florence - the swimming pool Some typical guests' reviews:
"We loved the location most of all - just close enough to the city center and far enough to be "away from it all." The room was very well supplied and enormous. The hotel staff were especially helpful and friendly. Of course, we hope to return very soon."
"It's only 15 minutes' walk to Ponte Vecchio, and the walk prepares you to the Florentine atmosphere. The swimming pool was a great added bonus. The car parking in the park is very useful. The fireplace in the lounge is really something."
"One of the best hotels I've ever stayed."
"This place is simply fantastic. Very quiet location, with good parking, and bus stop at the door. The walk down to the center of town is long but very nice; one can discover places like Galileo's house on the way. The swimming pool was a definite plus for the children (and adults too..). Definitely worth staying!"
"Superb villa, beautiful swimming pool, if you go to Florence this is the ideal hotel to take a rest after sightseeing in Florence."
"The room was huge, with a nice balcony and effective airconditioning and a fridge. Pool was pleasant."
"The walk to the Duomo area was beautiful."
"The Park Palace Hotel was a refreshing break from the hectic pace of central Florence. The hotel gave you the feeling of staying at an old villa from years past. A good breakfast, a very spacious room with a nice view, and convenient location (except for nearby restaurants). Overall, it was an excellent value!"
"Hotel positioned overlooking Florence with wonderful views of the city & surrounding countryside....welcome pleasant and cleanliness of the hotel good..."

"Very pleasant place to stay in a lovely quiet part of Florence out of the city centre."
"We were traveling with a group of 7, our family of 4 with grand parents and a neice. The Park Palace was excellent for room size, we had joining triple and quad rooms. It was like a private apartment and veryone enjoyed the space! The hotel is located up on a hill outside of town. Our room had a private terrace and there were fabulous sunrises/set... The common area was a lovely room with large fireplace that we enjoyed meeting others and playing cards. To access the hotel, we used a bus that comes every 30 minutes. The bus can be a bit early or late, so you need to be ready."
"Really nothing to complain about ! A fantastic bargain for Florence !"
"In a romantic location, not quite in the centre, but it only takes few minutes to walk to Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is a truly beautiful villa with rooms with antique furnishings. Breakfast and services are of good quality. Excellent ratio quality price, at the price offered on Venere."
"Quite high class structure."
"The Park Palace is a real find. Huge, very comfortable, clean rooms, Helpful & friendly service, Excellent breakfast which we took on the terrace overlooking the garden and the pool. This was also a nice cool place to relax over a sundowner after a long day's sightseeing, whilst planning the next day. The Ponte Vecchio is about 20 mins walk from the hotel or you can easily get the number 13 bus to Santa Maria Novella. A Taxi back to the Hotel at night costs around 10 Euros. Overall, real character excellent value and highly recommended."
"We are really pleased with Hotel Park Palace. Our room even has a stairs that go up to the roof top and we could see Florence from there. It's a really nice hotel with GREAT breakfast. It's the best hotel I've stayed in my 10 days Italy trip. The location is a bit out of the way, but it's worth it."
"This is a great hotel. We took advantage of an internet special which made it cheaper than a 2 star hotel we stayed at earlier. It is a mile from the duomo but it is a beautiful walk. Our room was big and very clean and after all that walking we did the bathtub felt great. The breakfast was great. The staff speak great english and were very helpful."
"We could see the night view of Florence from Piazzale Michelangeo."
